We have running water! Not exactly inside the house yet, but it's running outside! And I don't mean the rain, though there is plenty of that today! This tap is at the side of the house just beyond the man door to the garage (as opposed to the car door).
I guess they used the tap to fill the bathtubs! They put water in the bathtubs so that the weight helps settle them. Or something.
Here's a view of the ceiling under the main bathroom. Lots of pipes to make things work!
Kaitlyn came to help out today while Rachael was in school. She swept part of the kitchen today. What a good little helper! Rachael helped on Saturday, but Mommy was home with Kaitlyn so she didn't get a picture.
Here's my fireplace. There's going to be pillars on the sides, rock around the gas insert, and built-in bookshelves on either end.
We changed the windows a bit in the master bedroom. We made them shorter and wider, that way we can have windows that slide open instead of with a turn crank thing. And they're cheaper, too.
We also built out the end of the vault so that it will match the sides that are built out a bit. That way we can put crown moulding around the whole room. Crown moulding doesn't work directly against a vault, so you make a bit of a flat space and then vault it and then you can stick up your mouldings.
Darcy (and/or his crew guys) also put in two "fake" posts around the front deck. They make it look like they've been built in to the wall, but really they're just for looks.
